is it just me or does "happy" not seem to have enough gravitas for holidays like passover and easter?

Happy = Bunnies and Chocolate

And I think Passover has a good element of joy to it... the leading out of slavery and such.

And happiness over the resurrection for thems what believes that.

i think joy is closer to right. happy is too LIGHT a word.

Early Christian church stole lots of pagan holidays (they knew coopting was easier than denying) and thus you have a few leftovers (lights on the trees, bunnies, etc) from the earlier incarnations of the holidays. I find that kind of thing fascinating.
