whew, tough one. I'd gotten up to 14 without a long inference chain (guessing, that is), but the rest of it was one long string

there's a difference

an inference chain, you hold the information in your head

a forcing chain, you record the information in green and red

and a guess, you just put a number in and go from there and then go back if it turns out to be wrong
