Difficulty score 23. No green.

For me, doing puzzles without green is a matter of stubbornness. I can get any easy or medium without green, usually without much difficulty. I can get virtually all the hards without green, if I am willing to spend the necessary time. It is now not too unusual to get the experts without green. It is just a matter of stubbornly refusing to go green.

No way does today's puzzle deserve a score of 23!

Hey everybody, thanks for sharing your experience about greening up on mediums. I am trying to be more organized and systematic in my approach rather than hopping about like a flea. I'm hoping this will help me get faster and lessen my reliance on greens. Of course, one can never underestimate the value of good old fashioned stubborness.

My chair reclines. In order to press the shift key I have to lean forward. Lazy. So...no greens.

I had that problem too. Solved it with a lolly stick and a stack of pennies resting on it. Hey presto - shift lock!
