Done... good challenge today

done! but, definitely with greens.

just the fact that I'm bothering to try this seems mind-blowingly presumptuous.

got this one with 3 guesses; the first one was wrong, fortunately; no other way to solve this one logically without a program

Done, required 2 guesses.

Done with greens, with a pause for Sunday Brunch

done w greens, no guesses... difficult, took a long time to spot one conflict w chain of 2s. That eliminated a 2 and opened up other less difficult progressions, a box line reduction and y wing eliminating an 8. From there it solved itself.

Say you spot a loop of 2s that alternate between 2 or not 2, in other words we don't know if they are 2s or not, but we don't care as long as the loop completes, then the loop is valid. If it doesn't there's a conflict where two adjacent 2s (or not 2s) show up, which is impossible, thus one two is eliminated and the loop can be closed. We don't solve for the 2s, we just validate the possibilities. Took me awhile to grasp the concept. Hope this helps. This is one of those logic problems that is simpler to guess at if time is of the essence.

finished ... greens and 2 guesses did the trick ... nice

Did it with greens, three or four chains, but NO GUESS! Woo hoo.
