what are "greenies"? how do you "mark"?

you usually use it to mark possible numbers

and you use red numbers to mark that that's impossible

but you usually need either one of them

franebrown - hold down the shift key and the number you want in green

i've never used reds - found they confused me!

i just got a green, how a red and/or why? thanx for your speedy answer btw.

Again, can someone answer how to mark in red? Or does it just appear when it is a duplicate, etc?

you're asking the wrong person. I've never used red :D

I got my answer by going to help: green is for potential numbers and red for definite nots.

oh, sorry, I didn't think that was what you were asking. I only use possibles, not definitely nots.

finished......several matched pairs makes this one fairly easy...able to eliminate many numbers quickly.....i use both green and red, but instead of using red to eliminate numbers, i use red for matching pairs or if only 2 spaces are possible in a row, column, or box. that way a red h3as a 50-50 chance of being correct...this helps me finish very quickly. hope this helps . :)

I do the same vitaman and I find that it helps me also.

3 on top, 3 at the bottom... same idea... solved 7 squares all at once, and from there it was a breeze. there's very likely a much easier way to solve the puzzle, but that's what I stumbled upon :)
