how do I save my unfinished grid so that I can return to it

hit print screen and copy to word or paint ..its the save way

Or upgrade to Pro to have the ability to save checkpoints and complete older puzzles. I don't know how much it costs now – I've been Pro since this thing started, or close enough – but it is worth it.
