I went to a bookstore today to look for a "sudoku for dummies"-type book - the websites have been a pain for me to decipher - and didn't find any that talked about swordfish and x-wings and all the fancy tricks people discuss here. any suggestions, anyone?

hmmm no. those sudoku books you can buy here (=germany) have either the beginners tricks ("you must fill every number only once in every square, column and row....") or no tricks inside. i'm sorry...

yeah, that was the problem i found too - either the books were all puzzles, or they were all really basic strategies...

but: just tried to get a book about logical puzzles ? sudoku is not exclusive. there are so many more and the principle is all the same

I'm actually quite good a kakuro puzzles - I'm hoping Dr. God will turn his attention to a website of kakuro ("cross sums") next!

morgan - before you leave the puzzle, just click the "save as checkpoint" button and it will save your progress so far
