next I was going to work on teh clue from below about the middle row

I probably need to be doing easier puzzles, I just started with these a week ago and am still pretty terrible with them

there's lots of good strategy sites out there to learn from - just google "sudoku strategy"

we all started out that way

it took me 2 or 3 days just to get my first one

it took me 4 months before the rules finally registered and I could solve an easy, so I probably win (hooray for not realizing that easy box can only contain 1-9 without any repeating numbers)

4th graders are great. Right now I also have an exceptional group of 5th graders. They're adventerous, creative and very bright (in terms of their ability to "see" things). It's been a great year.

i also didn't really like my school where i was tenure-track.

we have a fantastic art teacher at our school. i love that we have that in the curriculum. i'm so jealous--i didn't have all these opportunities when i was a kid.

i want some kids.... have a lovely 10-year-old stepdaughter, but want some more.

my oldest boy (the almost 5 year old) is starting to make really detailed pictures. it's so neat when they move into something new like that. very exciting. :)

aww! ten is a fun age, if i remember right

encourage him. Too many children have the creative, expressive side of them stifled.

thanks, artlady. i do - i love seeing what he makes. he and my eldest (my girl) compete with each other drawing and coloring more and more fantastic people and settings and 'scary faces'

their stepdaddy is a super creative, sensitive type, so he gets good encouragement from him too :)

my daughter and i also love using those little plastic things to make drawings on a grid that you then iron on and they stick together (i can't think of what they are called, lol). we like using the "stained glass" ones. it's awesome to have kids try all the different arts

I have parents ask me how to h elp their children draw better (that seems to be the #1 thing for them, drawing) and I say "give them materials and encourage them." Especially at a young age.

it's also good for us older folks (create new synaptic connections to keep alzheimers and dementia at bay)

my daughter has also made gifts with them--makes little picture frames and gives them to teachers with her picture in them, etc.

the glass-type ones that you do in the stove are fun too - the ones that look like stained glass (i think you already said something about them, twinkie?)

the ones i was talking about are also Perler beads, but there are some that ac moore sells that give a stained glass effect

the only pain is that you have to sort them first, then protect your projects-in-progress by putting them on a high shelf or something

any other ideas for things i can do with them on the weekends and evenings? i work full time, which i started only a few weeks ago (it's a great job, i work for my mom), and i want more ideas for what i can do with them when i'm home

we got one of those covered plastic bins that have different compartments to sort them and keep them sorted

the cranium games are really good--they have you use all 4 sides of your brain (art, math, knowledge, and performance)--you answer questions by molding clay, performing, drawing, or having the answer

done. was easy ging today, even though i'm quite tired and a little blind today (can't wear my contact lenses, and my glasses sucK)

half filled in, the other boxes pretty well restricted. I feel like if I pick any remaining square it will either completely solve it or fail and the opposite guess will completely solve it. I hate to do that though.

well about a month ago there was this weird dude on my myspace saying he is my dad and so yeah i met my dad on myspace and now when ever i am online i'm being bombarded with Questions from him about my life my main question for him though is why did he decide now to find me and mes with me when my life is a living hell now my mom is haveing trouble with my little sisters dad and he wants full custody of her and she is only 7 i have gone to my 9th new school and i dont see my family anymore i now live in georgia i have lived here for about 6 months its a big change because ny whole life i have lived in wisconsin

I haven't finished this puzzle, but the babble clues I use babbler's anonymous to get a list of words by first two letters and point value, and then there's the OneLook Dictionary which lets you search by letter pattern ...
