no greens no guesses but slow going until i saw the first move, then it was fairly consistent - ie same moves repeated...

h -- I am not terribly proficient at this. Can you explain what first move means?

Dorens, I doubt h is still here. I think he/she just meant after they found the first placement, it flowed from there. This on is pretty difficult so far, at least for me.

for me - it meant finding the first square to fill in (and the method used to fill it in) the methods are explained somewhere else (i always forget the website name).

I had to guess on Sudoku today. I was in and out of babble quick, wasn't really in the chatting mood I guess.

i am determined to get this ... an excuse not to do my housework I guess... so far i have only done easies

whew a couple of lucky guesses and i've finished!!

welll it may have taken me forever, several start overs and many breaks. but I did it... without any guesses in the last go-round, which is the one that worked!

I'm with hubby, here. using greens or reds is NOT guessing, it is using the tools provided to you in order to solve the puzzle.

no, acctual "coloring" like you can do in other sudoku programs, assigning one color to each yes/no state.

marking numbers isn't coloring.

and in fact, what you may think is a guess may not be, as you sometimes need to run a 7 or 8 number force chain to see where it goes, on the expert ones
