First pass by crosshatching: all 1s, all 2s, three 5s, two 6s, one 8, two nines, and an exdtra 7 to finish off the top middle square.

Second pass by crosshatching: one 3, one 6, one 7 which finishes the center column with a 9, which gets me the rest of the 9s, leaving one spot in the center row, which leads to the center square, the fourth row, the left middle square.

Trying to sudoku and watch T.V. doesn't go together! Now I have to start over.

Third pass by crosshatching: one 3, the rest of the 8s, which finalizes the right middle square, the 7th column

Fourth pass: easy squares (with only a couple of empty cells) finishes the top right square, all top three rows and the third col, then the second col, sixth col... and the last half-dozen cells are obvious

It would have taken me less time but for all the typing, and I'm also on a conference call

Why do you feel the need to explain the puzzles spellacked?

When I concentrated it wasn't that hard :)

Difficulty score 14. Seemed easier than yesterday's to me.

Knowing all the details of how someone solved the puzzle is interesting...after I have solved it for myself. It might be nice to have a separate chat log for that kind of discussion.

petcar, don't over think this one. you can do it. but don't rush it either.

I'm not used to doing even the easy puzzles without green numbers, but today i'm determined...
