This is what drGod answered: "It is all random."
So no intentional changes in how often certain difficulties may occur. No changes since May 2012. Just chance.

Thanks for asking, Sprite. Maybe it's just the way the numbers fall but it seems weird that in 2 months (just as a sample), all the puzzles were easy or expert with only 1 or 2 med/hard - at the most! When I first started playing, I know there were a lot more mediums and hards and I also paid for this game.

done no greens, just stuck in the middle finding the loner too, great puzzle. Mediums are often the best in my opinion.
