Tuco: my guess that is to break up long lines. But it doesn't work with HTML, it should have been <br>.

Regarding the "expert" the other day: I used a unique rectangle in solving it, which apparently is classified as an expert technique. Quite possibly could have been solved without it; in general, it seemed quite easy to fill in lots of numbers.
