drwho, it's downright disingenuous to say that "more white people are killed by cops."
Of course there are, in the raw numbers. There are something like 5x more white than black people in the US.
But if you look at the proportional or per capita numbers, the picture becomes a lot more scary.

Can't verify this, but this statistic was reported: blacks make up 10% of the population, but commit 60% of the crimes. Perhaps just a piece of the puzzle.

I did not learn my "Anti-American" views in state funded schools. This is the Conservative attack when anyone points out our flaws and wants to correct them they are called "Anti-American". They like things just the way they are. There is no "solution" to what has happened to the indigenous peoples of this planet at the hands of invaders throughout time. We just should acknowledge it and strive to make sure it doesn't happen again. Strive to have Turkey finally acknowledge the Armenian Genocide. Do not ridicule a sitting U.S. President when he mentions the horrible things our government has done to indigenous peoples at home and abroad.

A black professor of economics at Harvard just did a study of police bias. He found that in fact the police were more likely to become physical with black detainees than with whites, but when it came to police shootings, there was no difference. He was shocked.
If you are a policeman you are 18 times more likely to be shot by a black man than an unarmed black man is to be shot by a cop.
