a little harder than the typical "easy" - had to restart once
12:31 am

done. no restarts, no greens, but slow plodding it seemed
4:26 am
peternl
hmm, made that seem harder than it was - I'll blame the distractions...
6:44 am

tough easy!
7:03 am
Dazza
hey that was a bit unfair, a tough little easy, so early in the week.

Two unique rectangles today.

Done. A cute one.

not easy for me... though I suppose doing one while killing a migraine is not a good idea.

Difficulty score 28. You really earn your 1 point today.
9:27 am
Krys10
crosshatching certainly doesn't help much today
9:32 am
Minski
Done! Simple but not too easy (if you know what I mean).

i'm going to have to come back to this - chemistry class awaits

not easy. hard! needed many greens..but done!

ok, this is giving me more of a headache than the expert ones do. lol

It's do-able without greens, but took depeer searching than usual.
11:19 am
brianarn
Well, I cracked - I'm now paid. It'll be a good thing and all. just, yeah. :D
11:51 am
brianarn
Using lots of greens, not too bad to do. I guess I kind of apply the unique rectangle without thinking, or maybe it's not necessary for today's and I just see it anyways? I dunno. :D
12:58 pm
Moozey
this doesn't seem so easy...how funny normally we have experts/hards that are easy but never the other way round!
1:03 pm
Moozey
hmmm not so easy but done...have a good day all

Most of you won't believe this, but the computer only used cross-hatching.

To brianarn, I am learning web design, Javascript, php etc. So, the program that I wrote to solve and rate these puzzles will be online eventually.
1:12 pm
brianarn
I pretty much only used crosshatching, just, a lot of it. :D
1:13 pm
brianarn
drwho: PHP is fun, but after having learned them, I recommend a peek at Ruby. It's what drives this site and the whole Ruby on Rails thing is super nifty. :D
1:13 pm
brianarn
Also, Krys10 has some code in her profile that's javascript code that'll autofill greens on the page, which can be saved in a bookmarklet. It's kind of amusing how much work that saves.
1:14 pm
drwho
Ok, I have had that recommendation before. Also AJAX.
1:14 pm
drwho
Checkout brittlefish.com for some autofill scripts too.
1:14 pm
brianarn
Ajax is really nifty, but it's not specifically a language, so much as leveraging JavaScript on the client side with the language of your choice on the server side to do shiny stuff like this chatbox here. :)
1:16 pm
drwho
I will probably also learn about cgi. I think it might be possible to put a cgi interface on my current solver program to get it online.
1:17 pm
brianarn
I've heard of people doing that, so that'd be one approach which would save a lot of code translating, which isn't so fun. :D
1:21 pm
brianarn
I have to say, I'm really glad i signed up for pro. While checkpoints don't work quite like I expected (I originally signed up for the site and then kinda forgot and went away, missing my trial of them), it's nice to have, plus being able to do more puzzles is nice. :)

why does anyone watch dancing with the stars? eck
8:21 pm
Andy
Maybe because there's still some variety in the world and other people like different things than you do. Would you like to name some things you like so I can disparage them in return?
8:29 pm

Hi everybody, I've been gone for 6 days. Have I missed anything exciting?

brittlefish.com
yikes. didn't see the comments below me. FWIW, i didn't write the original autofill script. i just did the G+r autofill variant, and solved the IE6 problem. IE6 + FF script is at brfsh.com/2007/03/14/ironsudoku-ie6-autofill-
solved
