Of course it was an anti_trump event. Duh. The only updated photo was one put up by error the actual photos of 2009 and 2017 are still out there and correct. KnightTime lets see what the Repubs say about the debt and if they fight raising the debt ceiling again with a Repub prez

That is the problem with the Right. Too much newspeak. The only things that are real is what fits your narrative. I need to ask. Why don't we have sharia law? Why hasn't Obama come out as Gay? How many of your guns were taken away? Gullible fools.

Trump has already said we should be borrowing more money now that the interest rates are low.

My point was not whether the economy is "great" or not right now, but how it is at the time of the incoming President and by the measures in that article, DJT is very fortunate that his predecessor has left the economy in better shape than when he took office.

Also if you are going to use the debt as a belweather of our economy you should read this. https://www.thebalance.com/us-debt-by-preside\nnt-by-dollar-and-percent-3306296 Yes even though Obama raised the debt by the highest dollar amount it isn't even close to how much it was raised as a percent of the existing debt when he took office.

compared to previous presidents.

If you look at the deficit however it was $1.41 trillion in 2009 and it is $587 billion in 2016

tuco, that was even more the case in the depths of the great recession of 2008, but the GOP wouldn't back continued stimulus. Now we see that deficit cutting has always been a sham designed only to prevent transfer of wealth from the rich to the poor.

I don't know if anyone say me praise DJT when he shamed the repubs about trying to close the ethics board. Would any of you on the right be able to admit that BHO was a better prez than his predecessor?

All I want to add is: go read Paul Krugman's blog. He explains in simple math (most of the time) the reasons for financial stimulus when interest rates are depressed to zero, and how century-old models still work.

The reason I ask. My 89 year old mother and my 80 year old clock mentor who are Trump supporters are unable to do so. And they have both asked me to do what they were unable to do for Obama, for Trump. I told them both, of course I would if he does right by all Americans, but that they had a lot of nerve asking me to do something they are incapable of doing.

Unfortunately spellacked the only centuries old financial model the Republicans are interested in is the antebellum plantation model.

And the Republicans hold all the power now.

Amazing DC march. All were respectful, polite (almost thought I was back in Canada) - quite inclusive, all ages, a surprising number of men (secure men), people of all colors. Very, very crowded, but all in good spirits. One cop noted it was quite a difference in attitude from the previous day. Very clever signs. Very glad I was there, and joined the global sisterhood - and very glad that so many men joined!

Ditto Diane. I was amazed by the sheer number of people, gridlock sometimes, but all calm and copascetic.

Yay! Diane. Fox news of course had that clown Waters and his people scouring the crowd for weirdos. So their take on it was that you were all weirdos and whiners. "The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command." --George Orwell, 1984
