Agree with both Phil & MrO. Welcome to the decline of the US. Maybe not a bad thing, as hubris is generally not healthy.

MrO, while there is no planet B, I have tended to look on the positive side of life. Maybe because I have been lucky enough to experience such wonders of the world as swimming with Whalesharks and Manta Rays, Snorkelling at Ningaloo Reef, strolling along the banks of the river Swan in the middle of Perth last weekend watching a pod of dolphins feeding. There is so much more to life than drinking an oversize sugar laden crappy starbucks they attempt to pass off as coffee, obtained from the drive through of course, cos why would anyone want to walk streets where people can legally walk around with an assault rifle over their shoulder in case they have to fight the evil government… I just think they don't get it because their tv experience is so terrible!. Ever watched US tv in the US? Miserable experience. Maybe they will discover David Attenborough one day. Probably think he's part of a conspiracy of fake news.
