TallMike - my first sentence "People work for corporations" proves that I did not "dodge" or "fail to acknowledge" that corporations are run by people. In fact it affirms my knowledge of that fact.

Not all the people in a corporation act collectively. Perhaps those in power will collude to commit civil or criminal acts of malfeasance. That does not make the corporation immoral, it makes the corporation and the good employees and its customers victims. I understand corporate law and understand that corporations are sometimes fined as an entity for the actions of its agents and officers. But, again, morality, good/evil, etc. are terms that, in my opinion, should be assigned to people.

Tuco - I agree with you concerning the regulation of some industries, especially those with environmental and fiduciary responsibilities. The pathetic track record of "self-regulation" demands it.

Phil: any company that doesn't take advantage of every legal method to reduce their taxes is not getting the best return on their investors' money. There is no such thing as a fair share of taxes. That is a rhetorical trick of the left to smear big business and rich people.
And B.T.W. your use of the phrase accounting trickery is another loaded term that really means nothing. Either their accounting methods are legal or they are not. Which is it?

Phil: If you think I am being hard on you, you are right. But I do it because I think you are intelligent and capable of thinking for yourself. I am trying to point out how you are falling into group-think when you use phrases like fair share of taxes or accounting trickery. I hope you receive it as constructive criticism.
