Quite tuco, and have they not forgotten how the world was reaching peak oil and it's all downhill from there? Fortunately we are attempting to save the planet despite the oil companies, but I was referring to the terrible plastic problem in our oceans, a result of the oil companies. Along with their terrible oil spills they should be paying to assist in cleaning up the result of producing toxic plastics that don't break down.

At the end of the day, the ozone layer that was being destroyed by cfcs was a problem, we banned cfcs and it's recovering. I'm still optimistic that despite Trump, we will manage to solve the global warming issues. More solar is of course playing a big part of it, and one in the eye for the big oil companies who were hoping to rip us off with ridiculous profits at our expense.

It's also time to take on big pharma too. That jerk who ripped off HIV sufferers by hiking their meds 5000% will hopefully bring to light the problem to the masses. He didn't even get jailed for that, he just laughed that one off, with an eminent judge begging him to do something, really? Get a grip govt

@ UnikeTheHunter. Your typo made me smile today. For that I thank you!

Mr O. agreed. Why belong to a group that doesn't represent your beliefs? It makes you complicit in their activities.

Mr O, it is a dishonest argument to say that because the NRA (or anyone else) is for guns they are responsible for the actions of evil people who misuse guns. The evil people are not in the NRA, the evil people are the ones doing the mass shooting. Guns don't do that by themselves. It takes evil people using a gun. Stop blaming inanimate objects for the actions of evil people.

Tuco, frankly you're part of the problem. We need to put more carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. If we don't the plants will suffocate and we won't have any oxygen to breath.

Worse yet, if we don't warm the planet we won't be able to farm in northern Canada and Siberia and we will starve.

Even worse, if we don't melt those polar ice caps and raise the ocean levels all the coral is going to die.

Warmer global temperatures will put more humidity into the atmosphere and that should result in more rain. We should see the blooming of the Sahara and the Gobi deserts.

And it's all Tuco's fault.

Since global warming alarmism is based on the predictions of computer weather models, I think I should point out the one thing all computer models agree on. If the earth cools enough and the snow and ice coverage increase enough, earth's albedo will increase to the point where we cannot recover and earth will become an ice planet.

And since the theories of how fossil fuels were created imply that all the carbon locked up in fossil fuels was once in the atmosphere, what could possibly be wrong with putting it back there? Wouldn't the same processes that created fossil fuel in the first place also work today, taking all that carbon dioxide from the atmosphere to create lush vegetation so animal life would flourish because of the abundant food source and then it would all turn back into coal and oil?

TUCO...write this down: GOVERNMENT IS NEVER THE SOLUTION. Ever. How do you believe society changes? Does it happen like switching on a light? Or does it evolve? Does a new more efficient solution (car) replace the inefficient solution (horse drawn carriage)? It puzzles me when people bitch and moan about today's problems and instead of focusing their energy, which is defined by action, they just bitch. What a waste. Bitching is worthless. Action is valuable. Always look AT YOUR SELF first, if you are not taking action, then you are THE problem. This simple test is ALWAYS the best way to stop being a victim of "the world" and start being a change point. I am not saying stop bitching. That could be what you know best. It could be the way you believe you are "making a difference." You're not. You are simple producing noise and reducing the oxygen content of the planet. That translates into being THE problem. Does that make sense? I can simplify it more if you need.

'government is never the solution?' climate change a myth? Some of you should form your own think tank for the bizarrely-informed. You could publish your results some place I don't have to see them. Alternatively, you could simply shut up. I've previously asked you to take your nonsense elsewhere, but I expect you'll carry on, because that's how we live now: bullies just do whatever they want to do. So grateful you can't bring your firearms here.

mab - good luck the "shut-up" suggestion.

I thought you folks were bright, not fox news regurgitating robots who are apparently PhDs in multiple fields.
