I am also slowly working my way through the archives Judy. It pleases me to see a whole month (or year) greyed out!

I can't imagine working through years of archives. I started here in March, 2007, so only had a year to make up, and that took me some time. (I can get behind a few days now, but it's pretty easy to catch up for just a few.) Kudos to all who persevere.

I had a capuchin monkey jump onto our tour boat and sitting on my shoulder holding onto my hat and begging for pieces of banana while in Costa Rica. I named him Idiom.

I know that feeling, too, digondda. I see from the rankings that you are farther along than I am. Diane, yes indeed the task of catching up seems daunting, and I am hoping to succeed, so it's a good thing that hope springs eternal.

Tuco, I see that you are managing to finish each day's puzzle while on your trip in Costa Rica, and it pleases me to know that you've got a good internet connection to be able to do so.

JudyHall, glad you are pleased. The WiFi in the hotel was wonderful. Jardin del Eden in Tamarindo. Adults only boutique hotel. Very nice, very affordable. I would return.

I am trying, Judy. But it is taking an age!

Babble is still broken. Think I will hit the sudoku archives today.

JudyHall
Yes, zoomzoom, I noticed that Babble was broken today because I usually start my day with the Babble grid (even before checking the IS rankings, playing the daily Iron Sudoku, and then attacking the IS archives). Some days I accomplish very little in the puzzle word, but my new "way out there" goal is to try to complete 10 IS archived puzzles each day ... (chuckle) ... we shall see.

oops, that should say "puzzle WORLD" ... sorry, I didn't proofread very well ...

hi Judy ! - falling behind this year a bit but managed to eliminate all "Experts" and "Hards" from all preceding years...

harpjane, prior to this group explaining to me what "greens" were (possible values for each cell in the grid) and how to identify patterns that allow one to ELIMINATE incorrect possible values from the grid, I thought it would be impossible to finish the archives. Sudoku elite drwho has a lot of extremely useful information on his website and I would highly recommend taking a look (though if you are like me, much of it won't make sense at first, but with practice, all the puzzle levels become easier). http://sudoku.pauls-pc-repair.com/index.php?p\nage=Techniques

It is as addictive as Babble - perhaps even more so - and you can do years of old ones

Thanks for the tip, Kate, that Babble today was (finally) fixed. I would like Babble more if we could go back and complete old puzzles, as we can here in Iron Sudoku ... my competitive nature frowns on not being allowed to "catch up"
