10:23 am

UTHunter, I just caught up in the chat - I have LOTS of books of bridge photos, also TV shows. I was planning a big road trip last year to visit about 35 bridges and I cancelled it because my cat got sick
10:31 am
UnikeTheHunter

What a neat hobby. Ever been in Vermont?
10:31 am
Krys10

yes, but not since the bridge obsession took hold. would love to see some covered bridges next time i visit my folks in New England
10:32 am
Krys10

also teh Cribstone Bridge in Maine - totally cool
10:33 am
UnikeTheHunter

When I was a model railroader, I took an interest in bridges too. But computer jades one to model railroading.
10:34 am
Krys10

Railroad trestles don't get the credit they deserve because they're not as pretty as suspension bridges, but they are so much more important in the development of this country!
10:35 am
Krys10

there's a place in Michigan that takes old bridges for preservation and teaches people historical methods of maintenance so they can repair local bridges
10:35 am
UnikeTheHunter

Really?
10:35 am
Krys10

yup - let me see what i can find about it hang on

I can't find the bridge museum link. Here's a good starting point - they have a whole section on railroad bridge links:
