Science Olympiad is a school event. Building events. Book events.

National comeptition.

it's a school club...thing. kids - from middle school to high school....go and compete in various competitions. relating to science....

ever watch mythbusters? they strike me as people who wish there were science olympiads for adults

astronomy. building catapults. robots. ecology. etc

yes, but not since the bridge obsession took hold. would love to see some covered bridges next time i visit my folks in New England

When I was a model railroader, I took an interest in bridges too. But computer jades one to model railroading.

Railroad trestles don't get the credit they deserve because they're not as pretty as suspension bridges, but they are so much more important in the development of this country!

there's a place in Michigan that takes old bridges for preservation and teaches people historical methods of maintenance so they can repair local bridges
