Helen, I was reporting individual, or corporated charity donations. This has nothing to do with government aid. I agree with you we give away too much to other countries. The info I provided on charity donations are easily found on the internet.

Pinhead your distrust of any media is a symptom of someone who was deceived. I hear it all the time. If "your" pol is caught "you" exclaim "they're all bad". It is intellectual laziness. Admitting you were wrong or backed the wrong ideology is not weakness. It is strength.

South Australia has closed coal fired power plants and replacing much of it's capacity with wind and Tesla's big battery. They may still have some outages in the short term but are working towards full capacity with renewables. This is responsibility. They should be applauded not blamed.

We don't "give" away anything to other countries. The money always comes with conditions. Israel for example and Egypt. Where does most of the money we "give" them go? To buy arms from us. Or paying off a government to let us build a military base to protect the flow of oil. Do you really believe that politicians who want to cut Medicaid and social services here would give money to foreigners if there wasn't something in it for their donors?

Trump used that "we give away too much" meme as a bait and switch. The only "foreign aid" the right cuts is money for reproductive Rights education.
