On a positive note, my Trump 2020 shirt was a hit and I’ve already ordered more for friends. It was such a good day!!

@Denise, gotta ask: Do your Trump shirts have his comments: "I did try and fuck her. She was married. . . .Grab ’em by the pussy. You can do anything."?
7:47 am
Diane
@Denise, perhaps a picture of the Revolutionary War airport?
8:04 am
Diane
@Denise, perhaps it has Trump's motto: "Make America Hate Again"?

Good Lord, Diane. You have gone way over the line here. Is this what the comments section has become? Shame on you!
10:17 am
Diane
@Judy, did I say something incorrect? Sometimes the truth hurts. It's not what the comments section has become, it's what my COUNTRY has become! Shame on us!

Diane I do believe you said something that was not appropriate for here !!!!!
11:18 am
MrOoijer
If it i not appropriate for here then why is it appropriate for the US president?
11:19 am
ellenz
you are hanging him before he has had a trial on the issue

MrOoijer
Oh, your moral compass depends upon a trial?

I do not want to argue with you I stated my opinion and that is that I am sure none of you have made a mistake and are perfect
11:33 am
MrOoijer
Oh we have made many mistakes and are not perfect at all . But we've never been accused by 19 women of sexual assault. Or of racism. Or of money laundering. Or of corruption. Or of being co-conspirator #1. Or of asking the Russians for dirt on my opponent. Or of obstructing justice.

LISTEN HE IS NOT A RACIST THAT IS A WORD THE DEMS THROW AROUND THIS ELECTION PERIOD --- HE IS NOT A POLITICIAN-- AND I PERSONALLY WILL BE VOTING FOR HIM BECAUSE HE HAS DONE MORE FOR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE THAN THE LAST 7 PRESIDENTS !!!!! GOOD BYE
11:45 am
MrOoijer
Oh dear, if we go back 8 presidents we end up with Nixon and indeed the best thing he ever did was to resign.
11:51 am
MrOoijer
Trump is a racist. He hated Obama because of his race. He cancelled the Iran deal only because it was Obama's deal. Thus endangering the world peace. That is the European view on the matter ( not just mine, it is the broadly accepted view).

They should put signs in the concentration camps. Something like how work will make you free.

Diane - You said nothing, in the least little bit, inappropriate. People need to start facing it is what it is with this president.

Trump is no more a racist than any of the Democrats who like to throw the term around when they don't agree with you. The Party of NO aka fake news advocates has held a grudge against Trump since he won the election in 2016. In other words, this is all about revenge and being a sore loser.

There is not enough time in the day to educate people who don’t want to try and understand the positives!

Denise - You are correct, obviously. That's why we need to be patient with the se people and keep trying to educate them as best we can.

Penguin
KT: concentration camp noun
Definition of concentration camp
: a place where large numbers of people (such as prisoners of war, political prisoners, refugees, or the members of an ethnic or religious minority) are detained or confined under armed guard —used especially in reference to camps created by the Nazis in World War II for the internment and persecution of Jews and other prisoners
Merriam-Webster online.
When we have large numbers of people, claiming refugee or asylum status, detained under armed guard, that is the very definition of concentration camps.
4:09 pm
Penguin
To those who say that President Trump is not a racist, you are correct in that he says that he is not a racist. Those who are not of his ancestry mostly have the opposite perspective. His actions are actions that a racist would take. Racist websites applaud President Trump's policies that hurt minorities and that harm those seeking asylum.
Today President Trump said that four Freshmen Congresswomen, all women of color, should "go back" to the countries they came from (three of the four were born in the United States). That is the language used by racists.
Walks like a duck ... quacks like a duck ... sure appears racist.

He was saying, if they hate America, then go to a country with which you identify.
4:39 pm
angelica
They don't have to identify with the President and the conditions of this country in order to identify with the country. We can love American and still criticize the current administration and aim to better our society.
4:40 pm
angelica
It's racist to imply that all Americans need to follow the belief systems of the few corrupt white men who are in power. The original Americans are Native Americans.
5:34 pm
Penguin
Unike: That might have been what President Trump intended. But the wording he used was that of a racist.
And critique of the Executive branch does not mean hatred of America. To the contrary, from either political party, it usually is wanting to improve the America they love. This was true of most Republicans who offered critique of President Obama, of most Democrats who offered critique of President Bush, of most Republicans who offered critique of President Clinton, and so on back in history and is true today of Democrats who offer critique of President Trump.

I can't believe there are people that actually believe trump is not a racist. He proves it over and over and over.
5:50 pm

Literal quote on twitter by our completely racist president in regard to 4 deomcratic congress women who ARE ALL AMERICANS. “Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how it is done. These places need your help badly, you can’t leave fast enough..." PLEASE TELL ME HOW THIS IS NOT RACIST. This is NOT just a term Dems throw around!

Penguin - you write, "When we have large numbers of people, claiming refugee or asylum status, detained under armed guard, that is the very definition of concentration camps." As I stated earlier - these all came here completely of their own volition - against the recommendation of the Federal Government. It is in no way like Nazi concentration camps and to even imply that is the height of historical ignorance.
8:06 pm
Penguin
KT: they came seeking asylum, not incarceration. The Federal government laws and treaties give them the right to seek asylum. And you continue to conflate Nazi death camps that evolved from concentration camps with simple concentration camps. What we, the United States, have created are concentration camps by definition.
9:09 pm
SamanthaJoy
Knight, Pengin never said they were "like the Nazi camps."
Penguin did say that they fit the definition of concentration camps. Which they do.
This BS about "well our camps aren't as bad as the NAZI'S camps were" is crazy.
When the main arguing point is that it's not as bad as the Nazis--give up. You've lost the argument.
10:57 pm
KnightTime
Odd - this is from Penguin's post: " —used especially in reference to camps created by the Nazis in World War II for the internment and persecution of Jews and other prisoners"
10:58 pm
KnightTime
I did not know we were arguing and did not know there are winners and losers. I am completely comfortable being a loser but if this is "losing", then I feel great.
11:01 pm
KnightTime
I also did not say they were not as bad as the Nazis, I was saying that that comparison is ludicrous. Some of the people come here seeking asylum, most come because living in an American detention center is better than the abject poverty they left. They come with full knowledge of their fate.
