IThat's interesting. Which sources do you take into account? Mine are two Dutch news papers (NRC and Volkskrant) , Washington Post, New York Times, occasionally Le Monde(French) and FAZ (German) when I was in Franfurt. Oh and the Guardian and the Korean Times. Did you know that there is a big row between South Korea and Japan?
I do not watch much TV, that is such a superficial medium. News channels are very repetitive and boring. Yes I can get almost any cable channel: CNN, MSNBC, Fox News.

MrO I trust the BBC, ABC (Australia) and SBS. Unfortunately all the US channels I have seen are either right or left, none seem not to have an agenda. Our broadcasters look for stories on all sides, good and bad. And I find the US shows have the most annoying habit of all talking at the same time. Best 2 shows on TV are The Project (News differently) and Q and A where cross section of the public put questions to a panel with views on both sides of most arguments. No idea if they do that in the US every week. So in that regard I find TV better balanced than a lot of news feeds which tend to be biased.
