I just finished reading 'Street Player' by Danny Seraphine. Mostly, I read it because 3-4 of the founding members were from my neighborhood, went to the same grammar school I did, hung out at the same park as me. But they were all 10 years older. I've met Jimmy on a few occasions, but the thing I remember them best for is how they threw cherry bombs into the toilets at Shabbona Park and the toilets exploded. Oh, it was the talk of the neighborhood for quite a while. It's a very interesting look at the formation, growth and eventual split of the band. 'Street Player' is one of their 'worst' songs, that found a new second, lucrative life for Danny. He spent his youth being a street player, deciding on drums got him out of that life. Very personally written book.
