It's behaviour id the antithesis of what the world expects of the leadership of the richest and most influential country in the world. And it's really really sad. And yes, while Americans are still respected, the American leadership is losing that respect day be day. The rest of the world says, this is not normal and we don't want it, but we do have to deal with it.

Phil, if I go to a country where players of soporific sports like cricket are treated like gods, I avoid mentioning them at all.
