Good news today from Brisbane. They've had excellent results killing off cover 19 in the lab, and a few people. Now to a proper trial with newly diagnosed patients. 2 drugs, both safely used in the past, one Quinine (used for years on Malria until it became resistant) and an early HIV anti viral treatment. Both available in pill form. They reckon three months should see it's effectiveness. Hope so because we've now imposed anyone arriving into Australia has to self quarantine for 14 days, and all States and Territories have enacted State of Emergency Powers.

Phil - I heard about positive the achievements with chloroquine, and it's various forms, early last week. Very surprised I hadn't heard more. Coronavirus Central, on youtube, presented tons of research. I'm relieved the news is spreading, hoping faster than the virus.

If this is effective - it requires no FDA testing since it is an existing therapy. Equipment and processes are already in place to collect blood - spin out the plasma - remove toxins and the use for therapy. John Hopkins is already using it in New York. Also used in Shanghai and in Japan.

Same thing with the drug I mentioned. Way past patent, inexpensive to make. Old drug.

Sometimes the old ways are still the good ways. Not saying this is the answer - but at this point I think this and chloroquinine should be tried.

Absolutely. Good to hear positive news. Not all over the news because, what, powers that be don't want people to stop being vigilant, I guess.
