I checked out "Painful" on Launchcast. From 1993. Sounds interesting.

Usually, I recommend I Can Hear The Heart Beating As One for people that are getting into Yo La Tengo.

What's currently on your music palette, spreadeagle?

That has some tracks that does sound better to me. However, I only get a 30 second clip in mono when I do an album search. On my palette? Just about anything on the level of "adult alternative"

I recently downloaded an album from iTunes with that "Adult Alternative" designation. First I'd ever heard of it.

I've never heard of "Adult Alternative" as a genre. List some bands under that designation please.

In m y case, it was the new Crowded House (who I just saw in concert)

Also, I doubt you can sum up Yo La Tengo in a 30 second clip. They like to make adhesive albums.

He's been active all along... it's just Crowded House that was quiet for a decade or so. He's had a few solo albums and a project or two with his brother

That honestly looks like what iTunes described as contemporary music about three years ago. But genres matter not. Actually, I was interested in the Finn brothers projects. I hadn't heard anything from them since Everyone Is Here.

I was curious if they'd be near me and saw they were coming to Foxwoods in a few days. Got tickets. We went.

I recently bought tickets to see Björk. Almost got the $90 tickets, and then found out those were sold out. Bought the $60 tickets instead.
