Hard? Has someone changed the rating system? There is nothing even slightly difficult about it. Easier than most of the Easy puzzles we have had recently.

Would be off the scale on the Trump cognitive test TM!

I agree with Tall Mike - that was not a hard puzzle. Must confess I could not crack yesterday's puzzle. Tried every technique I knew - but it would not yield.

Phil, I accept your right to post Australian humor here but please don't address it to me personally. I have never found non-sequiturs to be even the slightest bit clever or interesting. However, I know it is part of your culture because my closest Australian friend does it all the time.

KT: Yesterday's took me two successive eliminations / what-ifs / guesses. Plus a restart.

I did three restarts - after 3 "what-ifs". Also tried x-wing and xy wing. But finally decided I had spent enough time on it. May print it out and try some more later. I usually do not use guessing - not because I find it "cheating" but because I rarely, if ever have any good luck with it.

With even the toughest of puzzles, you can always resort to the never-fail technique of selectively eliminating greens, one by one, from one of the most populated cells. Exact opposite of starting with something simple such as locked pairs.

TM- True - but it gets to be an issue of time for me.

Thanks for the education TM, new words for me to learn. Just more proof really Aussies and Americans are on different wavelengths.
