If I want to mark a possible, I click the square, then use shft-click to mark the desired number.

ok, the bottom left big box, do you see how the fives can only go in the far right vertical column (or row?)? then you know that the two fives in the top left big box in that vertical can't be fives. does that make sense?

so then you can find that top five
