MrOoijer's details are spot on, except that J&J bought Janssen in 1961. It's also not so unusual for companies like BioNTech to make RNA-based vaccine mainly because oncology companies are increasingly focused on immunology, using your own, or manufactured (monoclonal) antibodies to attack cancer cells. Look up the term immuno-oncology, often abbreviated as IO.

Ivermectin is a repurposed drug that Dr Pierre Corey's group of 2000 critical care physicians found to be 100% effective as a preventative medication for Covid. Yes, 100%. Oh, and it doesn't cost 300 dollars a dose. You can find his senate testimony on YT. You be the judge.

@spellack - yeah thats right. Janssen was a Belgian company and the (younger) Dutch branche is now Janssen Vaccines. But that is a recent name. The origine of that branche is a joint venture between Centocor and Leiden university. They built a Biotech plant (factory) in 1984. Centocor was from Philadelphia.

I sincerely hope MrO that the whole world benefits as quickly as possible, and hopefully free to all. We're in the fortunate position of not having to rush.
