MrO, I've just been reading about Amsterdam's Doughnut Economics. As usual, you are leading the world in common sense and thinking not just about yourselves. Very commendable.

@Phil - I wish it were true but this is just one swallow and it doesnt make a sumer. We have a big scandal at the moment with parents (+-100.000 most of them 2nd generation immigrants) who were incorrectly labelled as fraudulent by the tax authorities. Lives were ruined, and the political elites were completely deaf to all the signals that something was really wrong.

Or that we have the most injust asylum rules of the western European countries.

The Amsterdam City Council is progressive (the major is from the Green party), but the power of municipalities is getting more and more limited. This Doughnut plan needs state support and I am not very optimistiv bout that.
