Hey KT, I used to confuse x wings with unique rectangles until I realized x wings were about one number in the shape of a box and could have two solutions up until only one way was resolved thru an outside agency. The unique rectangle is a box shape of two identical numbers, like two x wings combined, The difference in the UR is that three corners can be resolved with the same two numbers but the fourth corner had to contain three numbers, with the odd number the solution. I anguished over that for years until light dawned on Marblehead.

@jackt - yes - they are similar but you correctly identified the differences. x wings sometimes are useful and sometimes not.
