i'm with you augurus - i'm trying so hard to do this without greens (and i'm still pretty new at this game, so no greens = long game) and i'm starting to wonder if i should give in :P

yeah. don't feel bad 'bout using greens. I rarely do a puzzle w/o them

thanks for making me feel better :) i try to get as far as i can without them and then usually start filling in...i just finished resorting to greens, so hopefully the rest goes ok now

press shift.. click on a box.. and then click on any number to pencil it in

how does green differ from red then

usually people use red to indicate what number is surely not in a box.. to pencil in a red number... press alt.. click on box.. and click on a number

I used to print the screen. That way I could solve it on paper and then enter it in when finished.
