hey everyone, hows the puzzle going so far(just got here)?

I just got a report from someone that said their page is still refreshing at midnight. Is this still happening to anyone else?

isnt that what its supposed to do?

The page used to refresh at midnight before I made the archives playable. But I disabled that feature just in case someone was working on an archived puzzle at midnight.

I don't want the page to refresh while someone's in the middle of working on a puzzle.

i believe mine still does, but i didnt come on until 4 min ago so I dont know about tonight

i think mine does too, that's why i always hit checkpoint just before midnight if i'm in the middle of a puzzle

Have a question about the x-wing technique... when you find one, can it only be used to eliminate numbers between the candidates or can it be outside in the same row/column?

M3, I found an x-wing on 2 columns (so you'd be eliminating extras in the rows) that has a candidate not between the "corners" - from what I'm reading on technique sites this sounds ok

Finally, yes! Restarted yesterday's puzzle and solved it.

Any other pro users have a problem with the chat log from previous days getting cut off? If I look at yesterday's log, it cuts off at 7:20pm even though the white space continues and looks like the right size. But it has no text.

So I can view from midnight to 7:19pm, then a 7:20pm msg is cut horizontally so I just see the upper part of the characters

It might have to do with that--or just your browser.
