g/g did see some x-wings but none of them solbed it.

x-wing gives 2 choices. I look to see if one of the choices causes an obvious conflict, which in this case it did, so I know the other choice is correct and take it which cracked it.

Rows 2 and 7 form an x-wing in cols 2 and 3m neanibg there cannot be a 2 in the rows 3-6 in those columns. So block 4 has the 2 in 4,1 or 5,1. But that does not help much. Solving one of the twos in row 2 and 7 has another reasin.
