harder than a medium ought to be, and IronSudoku has one of the harder scales out there (for a laugh, do the ***** ones on USA Today -- rarely a small number needed, I do them in felt-tip pen)

welcome to Iron Sudoku ! - from what i gather, the difficulty level is harder here then other sudoku sites... i was used to playing the game on paper...took some time to adjust to screen solving..... - do you play babble as well ?
2:34 pm
maryq11

2:35 pm

7:03 pm
eieios
is there any way to check which numbers are done correctly and which are left to correct?
7:03 pm
eieios
meaning all the 1's, 2's,3's, etc
7:03 pm
btwrt
nope, you just have to hope for the best :)
7:04 pm

Marc
I am new here. I put numbers in all the squares that fit but the last two numbers don't fit. What do I do to correct it?
9:53 pm
Andy
Probably need to start over again. Something's wrong somewhere.
9:54 pm
Marc
Is there any way to check to see if you are on the right tract?
9:55 pm
Marc
Is there a formula or is there a lot of guessing?
9:55 pm
Andy
There are many methods for solving. You can google Sudoku solving techniques and other such phrases to find them.
9:55 pm
Andy
Guessing is usually only needed in Expert level puzzles.
9:56 pm
Andy
This is a tricker puzzle. I've been on this for some time now.
9:56 pm
Andy
trickier, I meant
10:03 pm
Andy
done. used greens and then auto greens/reds.
10:29 pm
Marc
I can't figure out how to download the program that will give you all the possibilities for each square. Anyone know how to do it?
10:30 pm
Marc
Also what are these greens and reds?
10:34 pm
btwrt
Marc ... i'm having a hard time remembering where you can grab the script that shows you the possibles. but you can mark them on your own using the greens and reds.
10:35 pm
btwrt
i myself only use greens because to me it's simpler. you just hold down the shift key while you click on a square and the number that you mark will show up green. alt makes them red
10:35 pm
btwrt
greens are traditionally used to show where a number can be ... i.e. i know that 2 and 6 can be i this square. reds traditionally show what numbers cannot be there
10:36 pm
btwrt
*in this square, sorry ;)
10:41 pm
Marc
There is suppose to be some program that puts in thr possible #'s automatically
10:42 pm
btwrt
right, one of the members here wrote a script that you just plug into the plug into the nav bar in your browser and it fills them for you. but i'm sorry, i don't have it saved on my computer and i don't recall who wrote it. maybe if you google it?
