As Im traversing through the backlog, making my way in the Pros tier which I havent been since like 2010, Im watching a lot of political talk. Just curious if anyone remembers what happened, since the conversation dialed significantly down in recent years. Hurt feelings

My guess that since the point of this website is the Sudoku puzzle, it is not worth the effort to enhance the chat feature to accept all forms of punctuation :

MrNate, the heated political discussion ended at Dr. Gods direction, for which many of us were very grateful.The loss of punctuation functions came much later. Someone said it probably resulted from an upgrade to the platform on which IronSudoku runs, and the upgrade killed most punctuation. Supposedly restoring the punctuation would require rewriting the IronSudoku program, which has not happened. I do not know for sure whether any of this is true but I believe it is the only explanation offered to date.

Thanks for that TallMike. Pretty smart of him to end the political chatter, it got crazy in here. But now we only talk about todays puzzle. I think we can do better. But what do we talk about without question marks
