@TM That is one weakness - lack of data for other greenhouse gases in the past. CH4 - methaan - has been rather stable until some decades ago, but I have only found satellite measurements. What I find fascinating is the influence of the day length. That was not very well known although it is quite logical: on longer days the earth gets more sunshine. Anyway you might wonder why I didnt maintain it after 2016. It was too much work because the data sources were not stable. And I was working on a more serious scientific paper that was completed in 2019. In the mean time my vision became poorer and I had to stop with these kind of projects.

@MrOoijer I would posit that a further weakness in climate models would be the assumption that the data from the past is just as accurate as today, and that even todays data is accurate. For example, does the data from today account for heat islands around major cities I think its safe to say that the temperature and CO2 measurements from 1880 wouldnt be up to todays standards either.

Oof, the punctuation removal really does no favors to longer streams of thought.

Thanks for your work on climate science MrO. Hopefully the poor people of the low lying islands of the world may still have a place to call home in the future. If they were your relative wouldnt you do something about it if you could Have some empathy people and lets all do what we can.
