Slowly so far. I do this just before going to sleep, so I'm usually a bit slow. How're you?

alright, I do this before bed too, and tomorrow is another Monday, which I kinda have an adversion to during this time of year, but that's okay, only 19 more days left til the end of the year (I teach)

Likewise ... but a few more days for me. My high school kids graduate on June 3rd (distance learning students) and June 11th (those in my classroom).

Wow. (I think I was counting every day, while you are just counting school days). On the other hand, on June 16th, I will be busy grading AP exams. (No rest for the wicked). 8-)

Well, I've never done it before, so I'm rather looking forward to it. It will be interesting to see (and participate in) the process of grading a test that I have been teaching for a decade. It is weird to teach to a test you don't see. On the altruistic side, I am hoping this will help me be a better teacher. At the same time, it is a paid position.

Yes, I teach computer science.

kindergarten! My husband works in the computer world, I just play on them :)

Oh my. You have an incredibly challenging job. I was once threatened by a teenage boy ... he wanted to know why I wasn't scared of him. I answered with the truth. What would really scare me would be a classroom filled with 5 and 6 year olds. He was a piece of cake in comparison. (He was also so confused by my answer that he forgot that he was trying to threaten me).

sSee, now, it's the other way around for me. I am so glad that we all have different talents, because I have no desire to even set foot on a high school campus. Keep 'em short, where I can do a song and a dance to distract them and it's all good. They just take a lot of energy, which I fear I have run out of before the school year ended.

Haha. My distance learning students are working on doing the song and dance for me. 8-)

Really, their final project this year is writing a Java program to generate original music according to rules that they create (no completely random chaos, but random patterns with progressions, inversions, and retrogrades). Sometimes the song and dance works on my end, too.

That sounds like fun!

I hope so. But, like you, I feel like I'm running a bit short on energy. I'm ready to catch up on sleep ... um, probably in July.

Well, I've just finished. I didn't need to do the red-green marking tonight (for a change). This medium is fairly gentle.

Many people who don't teach don't understand the break is really for the teacher more than the student...

pretty good, except for the fact that i am exhausted!!

yeah. i was working in the garden all day yesterday.

that would explain the exhaustion, but it's a happy exhaustion because school gets out on wednesday and i got a lot of weeding and planting done yesterday.

and i went to bed before 10 last night, so it has nothing to do with sleep deprivation, just over exertion

I just bought a mower and spent 2.5 hours on the thing

cool, we don't have enough lawn at my house to last more than half an hour. my lawn isn't even big enough to require a tractor mower, so i've got a push mower.

plus, my dogs kill the grass faster than we can spread more seed

hmm kinda stormy, maybe i won't be able to work in the yard today.

Theoretically it is possible on every puzzle, but you would need a super memory.

I have only managed to finish medium puzzles this way twice.
