Working on an old "expert" from the archives, so currently a bit frustrated :)

Babble is nice today, not too big and I am in it :)
Sudoku is more like an easy one today, don't understand why it is rated medium.
And the flue has come back, teaches me I should take it more seriously ;)

the trick uses the fact that a sudoku is supposed to have a unique solution.

if you have three corners of a rectangle, and they only have the possibilities A & B

you know that the fourth corner cannot contain A or B

For that would give more than one solution. NOW I understand. Thanks Krys! :)

because if the corners went A, B, A, B aorund the rectangle, it would create a situation where there were two solutions to the puzzle

ecause the rectangle B, A, B, A would also work without disturbing any other boxes.

i had this awesome mexican thing the other day - it was cream cheese (and obviously, sugar, so it was sweet) rolled up in a tortilla which was rolled in cinnamon sugar and then friend, and then had chocolate syrup over it. it was awesome.

i wonder why that in these puzzles, you dont have to worry about the diagonals, but in puzzles from a book, they have to have 1-9 in them too...

really? are they set up differently then? because the grid we have doesn't allow for a diagonal solution

i guess so, cuz in a book i have, it ays that 1-9 have to be in each diagonal line w/o repeating...so that always helped to solve the puzzle. but on these you cant do that.
