I held a management job for many years and my contract said that I should leave at 60. So I retired at 60 - even in the Netherlands that is a bit early. But I never took another job because I wanted to traveling gig not need more money anyway. But life took a different turn, I never went, did a lot of pro deo research work.

I do love my job - but am trying to retire. Not taking any new clients, but will still do my work with kids as court-appointed guardian ad litem. If it were my sole decision, would probably be practicing when Im 90 - but I see too many older lawyers who should have hung it up long ago, and I dont want that to happen to me. MrO - thats awful about your eyesight, so sorry!
